Raleigh SBDU ti Team bike – SB2997 Eroica Ready!!

Life on Vintage wheels are very proud to offer this beautiful Ilkston built ti Team Raleigh (SB2997) in fantastic unrestored original condition. The paint on the frame is nearly perfect, it has superb slightly faded orangey red paint work synonymous with the Raleigh Team colours. Finished with a very rare 1979 full Shimano Dura ace “Black” groupset (except the Campagnolo Super record headset) with Cinelli bars and stem this truly is a time warp piece. The frame is stamped “SB2997” and has the additional designation “H844” making it a Special order. Indeed a one-off piece of history!

Life on Vintage Wheels were extremely privileged when Jacques Hanegraaf rode this bike at the recent ti Raleigh VCC yearly get together. Jacques rode for ti Raleigh from 1981 to 1983, he was twice Dutch men's road race champion and won the 1984 Amstel Gold Race. He also rode Individual road race and team time trial events at the 1980 summer Olympics. A privilege indeed for a true Gentleman!
